Smaller goals are easier to conquer. You can set smaller goals that should lead you to a final destination, and your journey will be the sum-total of your collective effort to achieve something in progression.

Monitor your progress.

It is also advisable for you to monitor your progress. Are you heading on to your destination at record time or are you taking so long? Are you able to fulfil anything significant or are you lagging? You monitor your progress to identify your strengths and your weaknesses and by doing this, specific improvements can be made.

Proper delegation of tasks.

Productivity can also be improved when you delegate your tasks. There is such a thing as properly delegating your tasks and this involves carefully allocating tasks on people that have the special ability to complete it. It is more than just giving someone something to do. To be able to produce good results, you need to choose the right people for the job – people that can do it well.

Proper skill building.

One can only try to produce good results, but if a person does not really have to skill to do something, then you are going to be limited. Therefore, you need to find a way to improve your skills. Whatever it is that you need to do, go back to school, attend some kind of course, practice.

You need to develop your skill so that you can perform with ease and produce the right results, in record time.

To some, productivity may not mean anything.

As long as they are working and they are getting paid for what they do, then they are okay with it. That is the employee attitude. If you want to be more than that, and you want to improve the quality of your life, however, you need to strive to be more productive. Productivity increases revenues in so many ways.

When a group of people are able to complete tasks earlier than expected, they get to move on to other things and they end up producing more. This means that they can make more profit with the same time frame. When you factor in clients, productivity is good because clients are going to be pleased with your work and you can rely and expect their complete patronage. Clients like it when the work is done well and when the work is done fast.

What kind of image do you have?

Some people are not particular about the image they have but image is very important because your image travels much like your reputation does.

If you have a good image for the public, then you can expect that more people will trust and follow you. If you have a bad image, on the other hand, you will have a hard time convincing people to be on your team.

A positive image is important, and a lot of people work hard on building and maintaining one.

What does one have to do to be able to maintain a true positive image?

When you look at a person, how can say that this one is positive and the other is not?

First, one can significantly set a positive image by always being punctual. Punctuality is a good character to have because it shows that you are responsible and you are mindful of others. You do not like to keep them waiting and you eager enough to get things going.

Second, one can establish a positive image through physical means. He or she can dress a certain way, talk a certain way and basically behave a certain way, that send a positive message across.

Third, someone who wants to establish a positive image will not allow anything to ruin it.

Thinking Positive to be Positive

It is all about how you think. If you think of positive thoughts then you will learn to be more positive. Here are some positive thought strategies that you can try applying on your own lives:

Focus on the positive.

There will be negative stuff in your life, things that will get you down, but you can choose not to be affected by these. You can always choose to focus on something that is going to build character and not on something that can destroy.

Accept your flaws.

You are human; therefore, you are bound to make mistakes. In fact, you are expected to make tons of it and you should not be too worried about it. Accept your flaws because it is part of living. Accept your flaws and find a way to cope with your insufficiencies, so that you can find ways to better yourself.

Believe in yourself.

You should be your first fan and sometimes it may happen that you are your self’s only fan, and you should not mind about that. You have to find comfort with your own skin and you should believe in your ability to push through, do extraordinary things and be amazing.

Embrace criticism.

You will have a lot of these. You can choose to dwell on them or you can learn to shrug it off and use it for your benefit. Take what the other people have to say about you and embrace it. Use their feedback to improve yourself.

What Is Intrinsic Motivation?

What motivates each of us can vary from one individual to the next.Motivation can be as diverse as people themselves.  Causes and effects of motivation are also multi-faceted.

Some are motivated by money, time, deadlines, relationships and fear.

What motivates one person may not even stimulate the next individual in the same situation.

Intrinsic motivation is motivation that comes from within us rather than some outside force.

He or she is motivated by the sheer pleasure of a task or the sense of satisfaction of working on a task and its eventual completion.  It doesn’t matter if there is no monetary or physical type of reward.

If a person is intrinsically motivated he works on a problem or job simply because it’s enjoyable.  He works to seek a solution but enjoys the trip not necessarily the destination.  The work is not done for payment or reward.

Some students are intrinsically motivated and enjoy the research and homework for the love of learning and not for the grade they receive. Students with this type of motivation tend to do very well.

In everyday life, a good example is a person who works a crossword puzzle, a word jumble or a jigsaw puzzle.  They enjoy the challenge of learning and achieving knowing that when the puzzle is complete there will be no reward other than self-satisfaction, which is enough.

There are cases where intrinsically motivated people do seek rewards in order to make a living or finish a class but external rewards are not enough to keep them interested.  It takes a challenge for a person to pursue money or good grades because reward alone is not satisfying. It’s apparent that intrinsic motivation is very desirable, but few fall into this category.  Most students,

Competition lets a person feel satisfaction by comparing their performance to others.

Cooperation and recognition bring satisfaction and appreciation from others to the motivator.

Extensive research has shown that intrinsic motivation is merely described as what people will do just for the love of doing it.  They’re not working on the task or job to receive any form of external inducement.

Maintain Focus Throughout The Day With These Tools

Staying focused throughout the day can be hard. There are some things you can do and some tools you can utilize that will make it easier to concentrate and get things done. Here are five tools that will keep you focused throughout your busy day.

Plans, Lists, And Outlines

One of the best tools to help you stay focused is a piece of paper and a pen. Use this to make sure you stay on track and always know what you should be working on. Make plans, draw up outlines and work with lists. A Daily to-do list or a checklist for a particular project can be a great tool to help you stay productive and focused throughout the day.

Timers and Deadlines

Work will expand to fill the time you allot it. Because of that it’s important to set deadlines. Figure out how long it should take you to do a particular task, or even an entire project and come up with some deadlines for yourself.
A kitchen timer, or a countdown timer on your phone can also be very helpful. Set it for 30 to 45 minutes and get to work. When the timer goes off, get up, move around, give yourself a short little break and then sit down for another focused session of timed work.

Exercise

It may be weird at first glance to think of exercise as a tool to help you focus, but it can make a big difference. Not only does it give you a bit of a mental break and is just overall healthy and good for you, a little bit of exercising throughout your workday also gets the blood flowing, makes you breath harder, and as a result, gets more oxygen into your system.
The next time you feel stuck, or unproductive, get up and move around. Do a few sit-ups, or take a quick walk on your lunch break. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how much of a difference it can make.

Clean Food and Plenty Of Water

What you eat is just as important. Eat a healthy diet and fuel your body with good, clean food. Don’t overdo it at lunch. You don’t want your body to be so busy digesting that big plate of pasta that you feel like you need an afternoon nap. Eat a healthy breakfast, keep it light at lunch time, and then enjoy your dinner.
Make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day. Dehydration can cause headaches and keep you unfocused for hours on end.

Rest and Sleep

Last but not least, make sure you get plenty of sleep and enough rest and relaxation. You can’t stay 100% focused all the time. Give your brain a rest, do something relaxing you enjoy doing and of course get a good 8 hours of sleep at night. This will help you stay focused when it’s time to buckle down and get work done in a sustainable way.
